The tail of two cats

Today we’d like to share two very special adult cats, both available for adoption!

Josie is 8 years young and has been in foster care for well over a year and it’s about time she gets a home of her own, even if it’s a CGMFF sponsored permanent foster situation to allow her to live a life she deserves. Josie is a medical transfer from the Humane Rescue Alliance in DC.

Josie is NOT fond of other cats and does require a home without additional cats. She loves to lay in the sun, offer her favorite people her belly for some love, and takes her insulin injection while she’s having a snack. She would make an excellent companion to someone wanting a single quiet cat in their home.

Sponsored fosters receive full medical support with diagnostics and medication, we are simply in need of a home that will allow her to live out the rest of her days with dignity in a home where she can be the only cat with a responsible family. We simply ask you to provide food, love and litter. Sponsored fosters MUST be in the MD/VA/DC area and able to bring her to NOVA CAT Clinic for care and diagnostics as necessary.  Don’t let diabetes prevent you from giving a cat a home they deserve.

Taco is a laid-back kitty who has been through a lot. Taco came to his foster mom with an allergic skin condition, and has spent a lot of time in a cone to prevent itching. Even with a cone, Taco has always been a sweet and loving cat. Now that his skin condition is much better, he loves to take naps on his heating pad and play with string toys. He’s not afraid to bump his head against your hand when he needs to be pet, and loves his wet food — even when there is medicine mixed in. For more information about Taco and his amazing personality, please email his foster mom, Lauren, at [email protected]

Don’t let a cat like Taco fool you into thinking he’s hard to care for. He is an amazing cat, that’s talkative, playful, and overall a distinguished gentleman! Taco Cat is a NOVA CAT staff favorite. He comes with 6 months of medication covered by the foundation.

Currently he is on the following medication to help his skin condition:

  • Atopica
  • Earth Buddies Mushroom Supplement
  • Forti Flora
  • Hydrolyzed protein diet
